About the event

Images painted deep within cave systems at Lascaux and Chauvet in France a staggering 17,000 to 37,000 years ago are among the earliest known images made by human hands. The presenter Bevin Butler, Professor of Art History at Tennessee Tech University, will explore the sophisticated paintings and discuss these marvels of early human creative expression. Our interviewer will be local attorney Evan Wright.
