On Saturday, October 3, downtown Livingston, Tennessee will be bustling with plein air painters, art enthusiasts and art-curious folks during the third annual Paint Livingston Plein Air Event & Art Sale.
The centerpiece of this event will be around 25 professional and amateur plein air painters who will set up their easels in and around Livingston Tuesday through Saturday, September 29 - October 3, to paint and compete for $10,000 in cash prizes.
This year we've added a new $2,000 Best-of-Show Award, a new $2,000 Fellow Artists' Award for Body of Work, and a new Open Division for the Quick Paint mini-competition on Saturday, Oct 3, from 9-11am.
Make plans now to attend the Patron's Preview Reception & Sale Friday evening, Oct 2. The main exhibit and sale is free and open to the public on Saturday, Oct 3, from 1-4pm

The judge for Paint Livingston 2026 is nationally acclaimed, award-winning painter Shelby Keefe. Keefe hails from Wisconsin and describes her multi-faceted work as expressive realism.
She has participated in museum shows, top-tiered plein air painting competitions nationwide and has attained Signature Status in Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society. Keefe has been published numerous times in well-known art magazines--being featured as the cover artist in both Southwest Art and Plein Air magazines.
She has become sought after as an instructor, teaching workshops around the country and serving as faculty for the annual Plein Air Convention & Expo.
Artists must apply at callforentry.org starting on or about January 26. Application deadline is April 6, 2026.
